Cyanide 4 - Every Day Is A Masquerade album cover

I really like that, sorry I love it when I'm right. I said it before that we are in a renaissance of Hard Rock / Glam Metal music, it's not like in the eighties when every kid that knew three chords formed a band and wanted to conquer the world, it's a more mature renaissance. There have been bands formed by real musicians influenced by the better quality eighties Hair Metal stuff of the time like MOTLEY CRUE, W.A.S.P. and many more. It seems that the majority of the good and sophisticated bands of the genre nowadays come from Sweden and Norway (please don't kill me) however CYANIDE 4 comes from Greece, yes my devoted readers it's not a mistake.

In the Hard Rock and Glam Metal there are two distinct options: A band that tries to create its own sound like ECLIPSE and a band that uses the classic orientations. CYANIDE 4 seemed to have been using the same MOTLEY CRUE classic sound. However, or should I say for my surprise, they use it good, even very good.

The album starts with "Hide In The Shadow",a classic Glam Metal resonance with catchy riffing and a classy rhythm. One more thing that is revealed is the distinct vocal thud that I found to be pretty good. I found that a song that caused me to pound my legs in the ground alongside the song it's a great one and that's "Live The Life". It is fucking catchy as Hell, with great inspiring riffs and rhythm section straight out of the L.A. 80s Metal clubs. The best song came very fast and again very catchy, very catchy. I didn't write that twice by mistake, this theme will be repeating itself many times on the CYANIDE 4 album. I'm talking about "Temptation Failed", a must listen tune. I have to admit that all the songs are very good and have a wonderful classic eighties Glam Metal vibe with a twist. There are also these enchanting turn ups like my precious "Temptation Failed", "Wasting My Time", "F.F.L" and "Bad Love Parade", and don't forget the ballads on the album they are pretty good and has an entwine. I will leave you to it to figure that out.

These guys will have a great future. If I said that every Metal fan needs a Glam Metal album in his collection, I just added one more bullet to my short magazine. Respect for that. However, I found something really annoying in the version I got, don't know if it will be in the released album and you should be very careful because of that as some songs are in very high volume compared to others. When you listen to them using headphones or even speakers it's really a bummer when one song is in a good volume and the next one is 50 % stronger out from the blue. It can really piss your neighbors off or fuck up you hearing.
