After the release of their highly praised debut album "A New Beginning" in 2010, the band CREATION'S END was very discreet, and then all of a sudden they have signed with Pure Prog/Pure Steel Records and the second/brand new album "Metaphysical" was released.

The quintet from New York City CREATION'S END consists of some famed musicians, not exactly a super band but vocalist Mike DiMeo from RIOT / MASTERPLAN / THE LIZARDS and the amazing Italian shredder Marco Sfogli (James LaBrie's MULLMUZZLER) are quite famous in the little circles of Prog Metal connoisseur! The original core of the band is incarnated by Guitarist/Songwriter Mr Rudy Albert (ex ZANDELLE) and Drummer Dario Rodriguez The Progressive style is still balanced with a rough bluesy edge coming from Mike DiMeo 's classic vocal style and a more orthodox cerebral kind of Metal with complex melodic interaction, imaginatives song structures and the obvious reference to DREAM THEATER & Co ("Ohm"/"Constructing A Savior").

Clearly, the most valuable player's award goes to Marco Sfogli, his tasteful guitar work is by far the real attractive point of this recording, his fantastic input is shinning everywhere. Some tracks are filled by his licks and finally it sounds almost like a solo effort ("The Chosen None"), the whole album personality is overshadowed by his Amazing burning talent!

The drumming is precise and the bass player is also pretty interesting ("This Heart"), sometimes the music recalls strongly another similar All-Star project REDEMPTION ("All I Have") and its perplexed aesthetic style!

Despite all these qualities "Metaphysical" is sometimes a little hermetic, a tiny difficult to apprehend in its fullness, and it's for me not exactly an artistic success, as the Music seems to flow with most of the time as only hook the sublime Marco Sfogli's six strings prowess!
