Australian rocker CASSIDY PARIS has released her debut album “New Sensation” on Frontiers Music Srl on December 8, 2023. Raised on classic hard rock and inspired by female rockers such as LZZY HALE, JOAN JETT, PINK, PAT BENATAR and ARVIL LAVIGNE, the fiercely determined young woman is on a mission to inspire a new generation of younger fans to not only listen to Rock ‘n’ Roll but pick up a guitar instead of a phone. At just 20 years old, Cassidy, the daughter of guitarist Steven Janevski (WICKED SMILE) has released two sold out EP’s “Broken Hearted” and “Flirt”, whilst having performed multiple live shows all over her home country of Australia. At the age of eleven she met singer songwriter Paul Laine (Danger Danger, The Defiants), who developed a unique mentoring role. Paul took Cassidy under his wing to help develop her as an artist and songwriter, collaborating with her in songwriting and producing her music. From early on, Cassidy has wanted to deliver a strong message through her music. In 2018, she released the song “Stand”, a heartfelt song about “standing up for yourself” as a young woman. Cassidy continues to deliver that message, promoting anti-bullying through performances at many schools around Melbourne, Australia and is an active campaigner for the worldwide “Metalheads Against Bullying” organization and has been acknowledged as a semi-finalist for her song writing efforts in the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) for Best Rock Song and Best Unsigned Artist and toured Australia last year with John Corabi and H.E.A.T. That is quite an impressive resume for this enterprising lady that has all arrows pointing up with unlimited potential in addition to being the youngest artist ever signed by Frontiers Music Srl.

Opening song “Danger” comes out with a powerful vocal explosion that quickly demands your listening attention letting us know Cassidy Paris means business and showcasing her very impressive band that meshes beautifully together with a wonderfully paced melodic hard rocking riff delivering an invigorating exuberant sound. “R & R Hearts” (Rock & Roll Hearts) opens with a catchy melody leading to a flirtation of “country rock” atmosphere maintained by the playful vocals and blissful, addictive harmonies all balanced nicely. Simply put “Here I Am” is a passionate love story portrayed by the intense vocal delivering a melodic and heartfelt song. “Song for the Broken Hearted” takes a hard left turn with a bouncy melody and infectious chorus with a more pop oriented sound and feel showcasing the diversity and versatility this album has presented so far. “Searching for a Hero” is a hardened power ballad with chilling vocals aided by a gritty riff and chops with its arching melody, somber acoustics and a nice vicious guitar accompaniment all seared together that actually sent chills down my spine. As the famed showman P.T. Barnum said, “Always leave ‘em wanting more “ and that’s just what “New Sensation” accomplished, ending strong on “Midnight Desire” and leaving me wanting more.

For a debut album from such a young artist to come out of the gates this strong is to say the least, impressive…...very impressive. The entire album was packed with enough hardness and balanced with enough delicate melodies, the lyrics are thought provoking, relevant, reveling and moving displaying her heart and soul throughout and not afraid to put her passionate emotions on display for all to see.
