A neighbour country of mine, the Czech Republic, (or Czechia), has once again produce another gem of a band. BRUTALLY DECEASED hail from the capital city, Prague, and their style, lyrical themes, their name, and almost everything about them is influenced by the legendary Swedish Death Metal outfit GRAVE.

Active since 2007, this band has formed a concrete heavy sound with their brutal and original riffs, their extreme vocal styles, the nasty bass guitars, and the brutal drumming. Having released their debut "Dead Lover's Guide" back in 2010, they proved that they need to be heard, and 4 years after, they went on to release their 2^nd studio full length album, called "Black Infernal Vortex" - in addition to a 2013 split that they did with the legendary Swedes INTERMENT called "Glory Days, Festering Years". The time has come, after 2 years after no studio activity, BRUTALLY DECEASED finally gave a release date to their newest record "Satanic Corpse"; that date being August 18^th, 2016.

The album consists of 9 furious tracks, so let's step into the game with the first one, called "The Art of Dying". The song starts off with powerful riffs, followed by even more extreme drums, and I'm already in love with them...and right before I said that the vocals kicked in! HOLY SHIT! They are brutal as hell, and reminded me a lot of GRAVE, the growls are so freaking extreme, and together with the mix of guitars, bass, and drums, they sound purely evil; much respect to a non-Swedish band for successfully and magically producing that classic sound we all love.

This album is a great score by Doomentia Records, as it is one of the most extreme records they released, alongside the debut by ALTARAGE. I forgot to mention how original this band actually sounds, and the key to that is the atmosphere; which this band certainly does not lack. The sound isn't slow, as is the case with most of the band in this genre, but really fast and full of furious solos; which is not typical of Death Metal, but that's not a bad thing. This powerful musical side is the first thing that I noticed about this band. The vocals are powerful, the instruments are turned up to the maximum, and the production is extreme - sharp and pretty clean whilst still sounding pretty raw. It's a bit tricky to explain, but I'm sure you haven't heard a band that sounds this good in a while, especially from this genre!

The overall sound, the nasty, misanthropic, death-influenced lyrical themes and the artwork should definitely motivate you to check this band out. If you are searching for on-point, fast, and raging Death Metal that sounds as if it was made in the Scandinavian peninsula, and you like DISMEMBER, GRAVE, KRABATHOR, or BLOODBATH, check these guys out!
