I'd like to introduce you to a band out of Copenhagen Denmark "Boys From Heaven", and their new album "The Great Discovery". The band is made up of seven guys who really loved the rock of the 70s, and 80s and wanted to give it their own unique style.
Forming in 2015, they spent a long time in the practice studio before playing a few shows to packed venues, they definitely have a sound of their own.

 The album starts with "The Ascent" which seems to be an intro into "Green Fields". A strong organ starts, and a gospel chorus brings us into a happy flowing saxophone section before this first verse. It certainly has a 80s sort of vibe, with guitars in a fuzz distortion, and a decent solo during the final chorus. All in all, it was a good song.

 The third track, "Sunshine Soul" is a nice mix with the soft keyboard and vocals starting immediately, and a smooth verse going into the chorus. The guitars come in with the chorus, and the lead guitar plays a scale along with the second verse. An easy listening song, even if you're not into the early to mid 80s sound it's a well written, and composed song.

 I'm going to skip ahead to "Keep Movin' On" with my review. A strong start with both guitar, and saxophone. The verse's flow with the music, and a very memorable chorus the song tells you no matter what happens to keep movin.

 The following song "Memory" tells a story of a young couple from two different walks of life falling in love before the girl moved far away. An easy listening love song with a piano solo in the middle, pleasant chorus, and softer guitar chords. Not really what I'm into, but I did enjoy the song.

 Now onto "Only Child" which as the start of the album, seems to be another intro to the next song "Convictions". A slow intro, and a backstory of a strong willed, independent woman. It's a song that showcases the bands talents as musicians, and songwriters. It is an upbeat tone, with a contribution from all the members.

 Overall It's not a bad album. It's soft, easy listening, and a true mix of the 70's, an 80's. A plethora of all of the members input, and abilities. Even though it was recorded in a band members studio, it's a quality sound, and arranged very well. These guys will do very well, and with the world we're in, might be where we should go. Simpler times.
