Boon - The Almighty Love album cover

While listening to BOON's "The Almighty Love", I was checking out their history and achievements. While browsing through various internet pages I noticed that this album has gathered great reviews from webzines and known magazines. Is this band the next big thing? Who knows? Only time can tell...

The Austrian quartet is not exactly a typical Metal band. Its second (if I am not mistaken) full-length work presents a modern mixture of Metal and Rock music with catchy choruses, guitars that are mostly based on melody and groove than riffs that would stick to your mind. "The Almighty Love" can be described as a really heavy radio friendly album with more than decent songs that appeal to both metalheads and rockers. These guys seem like they have "borrowed" some METALLICA elements ("Black Album" - "Reload" era) and mixed them with fresh sounds, something that will probably open some extra doors in the market for them. The vocalist's unique and beautiful voice also adds something spicy to the overall result, making BOON a band that will drag the attention of music fans and why not, a bigger label.

I suppose that if these Austrian rockers keep up the good work, their modern, catchy and somehow refreshing sound (their songs kind of cheer you up) will drive them higher than they expect. Not that they are the most interesting band you have ever seen, but they surely are a damn fine Rock band with talent and appetite for work. Check them out and I guess that every single one of you may find even a small thing in their music that pleases his/her ears...
