Rest in Violence
Bonded

A feature that isn't so easy to see in the Thrash Metal scene is the super groups, those bands where many of its members are known for past relevant works. Of course that it's not a 100% truth, but it's really rare. And one of these exceptions is the German quintet BONDED, from Dortmund, and they're releasing their first full length, "Rest in Violence".
In the band, some members who worked on famous names as SODOM, ASSASSIN, VOODOOCULT, KREATOR, ROTTING CHRIST and many others. And as the words above denounce, they're a Thrash Metal band with a modern insight, but a great difference from their music from other names from Germany: it sounds like a blend of German Thrash Metal features with North American School elements, especially from those names of East Cost (but some traces from Groove/Thrash Metal can be heard in some points, as are clear on "Je Suis Charlie"). It's a bit alike what many could expect from a band of Germany, but be prepared by excellent guitar riffs and solos, massive and heavy rhythmic work from bass guitar and drums, and nasty and great vocals. Their songs pulses with good melodies hidden under their violent approach, always with an energy that can make the walls tremble, and a charming technical work.
The production and engineering of "Rest in Violence" were done by the hands of Cornelius Rambadt (the same one who previously worked with SODOM, DISBELIEF, ONKEL TOM, and others), giving the band a massive sound, but clean and defined in every little musical arrangement. It's heavy and aggressive to the bones, but in a way that even those who aren't introduced to the genre can understand what's being played (even under the massacre).
This album has no weak points, for it's a perfect blow in the face. But to those who needs some presentations, the thrashing massacre of "Godgiven" (very good work from bass guitar and drums, with a good technical insight) and "Suit Murderer", the Old School German Thrash Metal song presented on "Rest in Violence" (an extremely catchy song that has as special guests OVERVILL's Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth on vocals and former KREATOR's Christian "Speesy" Giesler on bass guitar), the modern and with grooved melodies "Je Suis Charlie" (the title says everything), the bitter slow tempos and great guitars shown on "No Cure for Life" and "Where Silence Reverberates", and the half experimental/Progressive and introspective and half violent Thrash Metal shown on "The Outer Rim" are the indicated.
If it weren't for the fact that they are a beginning band, BONDED could join SODOM, KREATOR and DESTRUCTION to become the German Big 4, because "Rest in Violence" enable the band for such honor.
