BLOOD EAGLE has released "To Ride In Blood And Bathe In Greed II" through Nuclear Blast Records. This is the second installment EP of this album. The band is releasing three EPs throughout 2019 to make a complete album. This is a very interesting idea to release the album in parts. With the age of the internet, the way we find and listen to music is constantly changing. I feel that we will be seeing a lot more of this happening in the future. Instead of one album being released every one to three years, we will begin to see a constant stream of new music. This is an idea that I personally think will revolutionize the metal industry on the whole. By releasing a full album in three EP sections, BLOOD EAGLE is sure to stay relevant throughout the entirety of 2019. BLOOD EAGLE comes out of Denmark and has the makings of a super group and possibly a powerhouse in the metal community. Formed in 2010 and officially becoming a project in 2013, this is a band that you Metal going to want to keep an eye on. The Death Metal that they produce is refined from experience, extremely powerful, and downright brutal.

I was immediately enthralled by "To Ride In Blood And Bathe In Greed II" right from the opening track. "Eyes Sewn Shut" begins with a very ominous riff that bleeds into heavy instrumentals. Setting the tone for the EP, the track breaks open into an all-out vocal assault. The ranges used by Michael Olsson change constantly through the song. He incorporates high, mid, and low growls to give the track a varying degree of depth. His high screams are his strength. The highs have an almost devilish sound to them. "Doctrine Of Death" is a driving hell ride into the house of power. This track is an impressive wall of sound. The layers of the song can all be heard clearly. The guitar work on this track is clean, refined, and well written. Instrumentally and vocally this song is brutal and bone-crushing. "Kill Your Tyrants" gives us another show of force from BLOOD EAGLE. The use of dueling vocals give this track some interesting tones. This is by far the shortest track on the EP coming in at one minute, twenty seconds, but this is probably my favorite song on the EP. The riffs are deep and devastating. The vocal work has differing ranges and runs that is very impressive given the length of the track. "For Those Who Remain" is the anthem of this EP. This is the song that you are going to catch yourself headbanging to. By the time you're a quarter way through the track you might just be solo moshing as well. I only tell you this from experience! This track is an absolute powerhouse.

Everything on "To Ride In Blood And Bathe In Greed II" is extremely well written, produced, and performed. The only drawback is that it was only four tracks but there is always the other two parts of the album to listen to. This is definitely one I will be adding close to the top of my Death Metal playlist! I will definitely be watching to see where BLOOD EAGLE is going because this is a band that we will be seeing a lot more of. At this caliber of production, musicianship, and experience, they will be on the fast track to the top in the metal community. If you pair that with the innovative idea of releasing albums in sections, I can safely say that this band will always be relevant and will continue to grow in support.
