Russian born Death-Doom Metallers, BEWAILER, released "Where My Demise Dwells" on November 8, 2019. The bands creative vision comes from its two members, Flammarius, who does music, lyrics, and spoken word recording; and Ovfrost, who does music, guitar/bass, and vocals recordings. Production-wise, these two manage very well. These two took their inner turmoil's, struggles, dreams, and fears and created an album from it. Due to how emotional metal truly is, I love a band whose concept is based on overcoming life's struggles somehow. I relate best to those kinds of lyrics. Those are the kind of songs a person plays in tumultuous times as an anthem. Songs written from the heart also serve to remind us, we are all human and stuck in the "human condition". Remember, everyone is struggling somehow and to be a light in a dark world. How to be a light? Play some epic metal. This album is a super place to start! I don't know about you, but I know a lot of other metal enthusiasts express similar sentiments as I do. Metal revives me, metal is my pep talk to my sanity when the world is chaos. And metal is the soft melodic tunes from guitar that echo the sighs of my soul.

"Thorngates" - Classic heavy guitar entry, an artful beat to start with. With deep vocals, this song has a progressive sound with a slight taste of melodic. Both the artists in this band are very talented, you can definitely hear both their influences in this as well as their vocals complement each other well. Running at a little over eight minutes, this is the longest song on the album and showcases some epic finger work on all guitars. "Endless Fall" - This song includes some female type vocals, reminiscent of the band DRACONIAN. A true Gothenburg metal sound. I love the beautiful female vocals. So soft and pretty. Then along comes deep male vocals. I used to say I disliked female vocals at all. Turns out I really liked female vocals, just as a preference to having them married to metal in this fashion.

"Moonspires" - As I sit here watching the snow fall in northwestern Montana, USA, this song stoically puts me in the mood of a Viking winter. The mountains surround me although I cannot see them due to the heavily-laden snow clouds. This another definite melodic song, not too fast of a beat. But that perfect haunting tune to zone out to the snow to. "An Old Remembrance" - Dives right into those deep and growly vocals, then accompanied by slightly lighter vocals; the two voices of the two band members. This song also includes spoken words. A story in metal. With beautiful, melodic tuneage to set the tone. I will state again, for being two people making all these lovely sounds and vocals, this whole album is produced extremely well. It all flows so nicely, one song into the next. These two are on the fast track to awesomeness. I really like the addition of the female vocals throughout and wholly encourage more of this in their next venture.
