Resistance
Beast Within The Sound
Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: BEAST WITHIN THE SOUND; independently unsigned, hailing from Czechia grounds - performing Groove Metal/Metalcore, on their 3rd album entitled: "Resistance" (released August 28th, 2020).
Since formation in 2008; the quintet in question have an EP entitled: "Propulsion Of War" (released in 2018); 3 Full-Length Albums entitled: "Eternal Conflict" (released May 28th, 2013), "...And Vice Versa" (released January 1st, 2018) & this here 3rd album that I am introduced to entitled: "Resistance". 8 tracks ranging at around 38:01; BEAST WITHIN THE SOUND arrange an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Groove Metal/Metalcore amalgamations.
Opening up with this bulldozing attack on riffing grooves, gnarly distortion & amplified adrenaline within the "Immortal"; BEAST WITHIN THE SOUND elements a chiselling crescendo on savage meatiness. Stampeding calamities implement a flamboyantly crafted finesse on riveting rhythms, and a gravitating dynamic on blistering frenzies which trailblaze with skyrocketing bounciness. Demonstrating a borderline foundation on killer laceration manifestations that thunder with triggering versatility, while razor-sharp punchiness jump with monstrous yet meticulous technicalities. Bombardarding eardrums with profusely robust grinds, and a hybrid domination in extreme but frolicking chugs that rattle skulls with ominously primitive rawness. Where "The Crown" contrasts a dense attribute in sturdy tightness, revelling with synergetic virtuosity & quintessential stabilities that will rock your noggin's off with this speedy maelstrom on propulsive organics.
Consisting of Filip Škobis on vocals; the frontman excels at a raspy panache on throaty pipes which snarl with yelling persistence, shouting with raging growls and guttural bellows. "Roots Of Damnation'' rumbles with reverberating weightiness; where twin guitar attackers Julián Dzules Lamas, and Honza Peš experiment with progressively technical pandemonium...fuelling a healthy dose on some rapidly swift nimbleness while this ruthless strike on dexterously dynamical pursuits tears with these slaying shreds that rip with tribal substance. While momentously catchy crunchiness from "Enemy Lines'' concretely fabricates immersively chunky harmonies, injecting an infectious bass audibility from Máca Kraft who thumps his axe into a drony but relentlessly pulsating pummel that romps with rampant solidities while utilizing sonic vehemence & thudding grit...revelling with volatile systematics that surge with radically wicked aesthetics.
"Pulse Of Freedom" roars with vibrantly snappy melodies where the vocals start out with singable yet monolithic tones, hardened but deadly hymns belt with this bruising clobbering in which scour with this integral flexibility on fundamental brutality. Salubriously subjugating stompy yet steely precision from hammering drummer Jirka Zajíc, who slams the set with rambunctious yet battering impact. While the guitars fret into an exuberant force until "For Life And Death" chisels with these mid-tempo yet twisty riffs, where the pounding pummels smack speakers with a fluidly polished outrè that grunt into a fierce maelstrom on ambitiously addictive solos that viciously rampage with raging havoc hostilities. The penultimate track "Rise Of The Sheeps" potently unleashes this crushing but hasty assimilation on scattering piledrives that resonate with uproarious songwriting musicianship mobilities that will make you want to break chairs over other chairs with no doubt in my mind.
Overall concluding "Resistance" with the titular track itself, in which steamrolls with more remedious barbarity; I am compelled to say that BEAST WITHIN THE SOUND most certainly outdone themselves with this one. A Groove/Metalcore offering that most definitely deserves discovering, as well as a few spins. The replayability value here is strong, while the instrumental deliverance is also a choppy boundary that will possess the inner beast within you in no time. A distinctively distinguished representation of these merged sub-genres have earned themselves a new fan, I look forward to their future endeavours - good shit, lads!
