Angeles - Fire It Up album cover

ANGELES is a Hard Rock band founded in the streets of Hollywood back in the golden era of Hard Rock. They used to rule the famous Sunset Strip scene and they made their way into fame. They have recently released their newest album "Fire It Up" and that's what we are going to talk about.

"Fire It Up" is the opening song from the album and it starts out in a very energetic way, great vocals, riffs and melodies. It was definitely a great choice to start the album. "Give It To Me" has a more 80's vibe and it actually sounds like it. The chorus is really catchy and reminded me of SCORPIONS and the guitar solo is really cool. "Good Times Don't Stop" starts out with a cool guitar riff that is followed by some guitar solos and it's a fast song.

"Freight Train" starts out with a brilliant and aggressive guitar riff. But the drums and bass are really heavy as well. It's a song that will make you feel like running around and going on to take whatever you want. "Anti-Social Media" has a very cool and groovy guitar riff. It's a really dynamic song and there's a good part where the vocals sound like radio mixing and a lot of things are said about Facebook and Instagram. "Gone Too Soon" starts out with a beautiful guitar solo and it's a touching sound. It's kind of a ballad with clean guitar sounds mixed up with distorted guitars, but the ambiance is great and the vocal lines from the stanzas and chorus are great. "Eyes of The Storm" starts out with a lot of groovy guitar riffs that were built on heavy drums and bass. It's a good song.

"Magic" has a very different vibe and it's the most different song from the album. It has acoustic guitars and there's some LED ZEPPELIN vibe on it. "Wicked" starts out with acoustic guitars, but don't get fooled as its soon joined by some really aggressive guitar riffs and more drive vocals. This song seems to be the perfect fit for the previous one. "Freedom" starts out with cool drums and bass. This song has probably one of the different ambiances on the whole album and it has a really powerful vibe. "Little Bit Faster" is the song that closes the album and its fast, aggressive and totally Rock N' Roll. The vocals are really good here and the lines are as well. Check it fast.

ANGELES has written and recorded a great Hard Rock album that has a mixing and mastering that made it sound like if it was recorded in the 80's. The instruments were really well executed, the songs are well written and the production is tight. Its definitely a great album for the Hard Rockers out there.
