This is the second full-length album from the Italian Powerhouse ACACIA. I couldn't find much information on the band, mostly some stuff in Italian (and my Italian is rather non-existent). I was able to gather a bit of information, mostly videos of songs they have done the last few months. I did read on their history quite a bit and this is their new album, a comeback album of sorts. When you have a very good singer like Gandolfo Ferro, you can build on proper ground. The band is pretty efficient and they sound like a well-oiled machine. They have unbridled emotion in their songs. They can do a bit of everything.

For a band that only has almost 30 years under their belt, they haven't done much albums to be honest. They did stop almost 20 years so I guess that does respond to most of my inquiries nonetheless. I felt the album fell flat a bit. I was expecting a bit more after listening to most of their cover songs. The overall vibe of the album is fine, it's their first album in 23 years after all. It lacks the passion I was expecting at the very beginning. I think I was expecting something heavier but it's a beautifully written album. You can clearly see their poured their heart into it but I just couldn't get into it. I really tried, I enjoyed some of the tracks but the whole album is inconsistent at best.

I felt the album was a bit lackluster and was underwhelming. You can build on great basics for the next album for sure! You have very capable musicians and they will do great things in the near future. I think they will learn from this comeback album. The production could have been better as well but I digress. If you like early FATES WARNING, I believe you will enjoy it but I just couldn't get into it. I do highly enjoy FATES WARNING but this wasn't what I was expecting I guess. You can't force someone to enjoy an album if it doesn't speak to you unfortunately. I think the band is great and the album has some enjoyable tracks but it's uneven at best.
