[Harry] Thursday night, not the best day for a concert, me and Elina met and went to Gagarin 205, were PAIN were going to play live. Even though we arrived kind of late, there weren't more than 50-60 fans at the venue. To tell you the truth, we were disappointed from the number of metalheads (we are talking about Peter Tagtgren here, the main man behind HYPOCRISY!), but we hoped that it would be a nice show and the crowd would get bigger.

[Harry] The time was 22:00 when IN UTERO CANNIBALISM hit the stage. The death metal were playing didn't have anything to do with the music of the headliners and their fans, so they didn't manage to warm them up. To tell you truth, their music is not my cup of tea. In my humble opinion, their music is flat. And from the reactions I saw around me, the same opinion had the rest of the audience. The best moments of the band's setlist, were the two covers they played, from DYING FETUS and CANNIBAL CORPSE. The sound, as in most support bands playing in live shows here in Greece, wasn't good and didn't help them. But the guys tried hard enough and gained the applause from some of the metalheads. But the time we all have been waiting for, finaly arrived. It was time for some PAIN.

[Elina] By that time, around 200 people were gathered at the venue, just enough to show some noise and encourage the band to give their best. And indeed, they amazed us with a top notch performance, proving to everybody that they are professionals, with an energy that you rarely witness in a live show. All the die hard fans were there and all seemed to enjoy the show and have as much as good time as PAIN did, with a playlist that didn't let anybody down.

Although some technical difficulties weren't absent from this gig, they weren't enough to discourage Peter Tagtgren, who was able to switch mode from furious performer to relaxed entertainer. To my favorite parts belong the dedication of the their song Bitch to all the women at the venue and the part were Peter joked that he didn't remember the lyrics of the last song they played, Bye Die, to please the fans' request and as it proved, he actually didn't. As he said later I told you guys, I don't remember the fuckin lyrics!. Towards the end, all the metalheads requested, or even better demanded, the usual encore part to happen twice and they weren't disappointed as PAIN didn't seem to want to leave the stage, they really enjoyed the fans' positive energy and pay it back with an amazing performance and with a very warm, almost family atmosphere with a lot of jokes and laughs. It's very bad that very few people know PAIN here in Greece and very few were there to honor them.

[Harry] It was past midnight and many fans were still waiting for Peter Tagtgren for an autograph and photos. As a conclusion, PAIN, even though we were just around 200 fans in the venue, they gave their best, with huge amounts of energy and great stage performance, not to mention the really good sound. Each one of us left Gagarin 205 with a big smile on our lips and we can't wait to see them again. The only thing that I want to say is that, in my opinion and from conversations I had with some guys after the show, the ticket price for a concert in the middle of the week was above average. And as Tagtgren said: Next time bring more people. They deserve it.
