Another fine event made by Sob Controle, bringing back to Brazil the Polish extreme Metal kings, BEHEMOTH, on their Brazilian tour promoting their new album, "The Satanist". And as opening act, the new sensation on Brazilian Metal, Rio de Janeiro home based sextet TELLUS TERROR, and it was their first show for promotion of their album "EZ Life DV8".

With a bit above from the venue half total capacity, and at 18 o'clock, TELLUS TERROR came to the stage to start the first show.

Besides the fatigue caused by a slow bus driver (who took 8 hours to get to São Paulo from Rio de Janeiro in a trip that last, usually, almost 6 hours. And believe your Ol' Big Daddy here: even a nun driving a car passed us at Marginal Tietê road!) and the rush of putting all their sound equipments on the stage in time, and even for being their first show together, TELLUS TERROR unleashed an excellent show.

Felipe Borges (vocals) is a fine vocalist, knowing how to use his voice, in harsh high pitches and low grunts as well, even on some clean voices, but stayed in the same place due the amount of equipment of the stage; Álvaro Faria (guitars, backing vocals) started a bit stopped, but on the second song started to riot and bang his head a lot; Wéderson "The Impaler" Félix (guitars) along Arthur Chebec (bass guitar, backing vocals) have great attitude on the stage, banging their heads and moving a lot; Ramon Montenegro (keyboards, synths, clean voices) plays perfectly, have a good attitude behind his three keyboards, as sings melodic lines along Felipe; and Ali Ahmed Ghazzaoni (drums), besides arrived on the band just two months after the show, is a monster in his heavy and refined drumming technique. He is a great drummer, and deserves to be in the same group of Igor Cavalera, Max Kolesne and Victor Mendonça as one of the best drums players of Brazil on Metal scene.

They played for a little more than half an hour, but that was enough to prove that they are a live band, and can offer tons of energy and can conquer the public with songs like "Terraformer", "Civil War" and "Equinox". And the public present on the venue applauded and hail them, calling the band's name, and the sextet thanked a lot, and came in front of the stage to hail the public.

Respect and humility got together with talent.

After a little interval after TELLUS TERROR went off the stage, all the things were being prepared for BEHEMOTH, as the public start to grow more and more on Carioca Club.

The lights were turn out, and them, Nergal (vocals, guitars), Seth (guitars), Orion (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Inferno (drums) appear on the stage, with Nergal with two torches aflame in his hands, and started to play "Blow Your Trumpet Gabriel".

BEHEMOTH was finally at the stage, unleashing hell on São Paulo again!

Their show is a mix of extreme and excellent extreme music with tons of theatrical aspects, as the use of incense, spitting blood and many of movements in this way. But how is good to see the band in form, with extreme good attitude on stage of all members, especially Nergal (who didn't seem to suffer any aspect of past leukemia), who commanded the public in songs like "Decade of Therion", "Conquer All", "Alas, Lord is Upon Me", but the public became insane when the band played the hymn "At the Left Hand ov God".

But the best was left to the end, for they played the hit "O Father, O Satan, O Sun!" from the new album, and at the last minutes, they used the same masks we can see on the video of "Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel". Total insanity took all the present public inside the venue.

And so, the show was over, but this event showed to many the reason that makes BEHEMOTH the greatest name on extreme Metal nowadays.
