Banana 101.5 FM hosts the Dirt Fest with promoters Matt Dalton and Andy Dalton. Founder Matt Dalton started the Dirt Fest in 1998 as a small outdoor music party which quickly grew into Mid-Michigan's ONLY long-running and large scale music festival of its kind which continues to reach a growing audience each year.

The Mighty Swine recently released their 3rd release on Broad Horizon Records but forget whatever you thought of The Mighty Swine before, this is a whole new animal! Bassist/Vocalist Mike Skimmerhorn went back to his metal roots and enlisted Guitarist Stacey Donahue and Drummer Rory Faciane for a full on barrage of utter mayhem! Last Man Standing is a nail-biting excursion into the world of politically-charged heavy metal where the messages are never lost in translation perfectly crossing over between progressive hard rock and true, traditional heavy metal!

For those of you not familiar with The Mighty Swine, they are Guitar Oriented, Lyric Driven, Bass Pounding, Drum Bashing Hard Rock / Melodic Metal with audible lyrics and hooks.

Hard Rock Nights listed their first single, Layin' Down the Law, on their Best of 2009 Playlist and it could be heard on radio worldwide
It was also added to +40,000 jukeboxes nationwide on Touchtunes & AMI jukeboxes.

The Swine has been tour support for several major label acts including; Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, Dokken, Skid Row, LA Guns, and Adler's Appetite.

In 2012 The Mighty Swine released the singles LUST / Pagan Holiday (May 2012) and Love Dies (July 2012) on Broad Horizon Records.
The band shot their first professional video (Morgan Visual) in April 2012 for LUST.
It spent 13 weeks at #1 on Roxwel's Music Video Charts and was nominated for a C.E.A. (Cincinnati Entertainment Award) for Best Hard Rock Video 2012.

In 2013 Mike went on to record a new album with old bandmates David T. Chastain & Leather Leone (CHASTAIN - Surrender To No One - Leviathan Records) before returning his efforts to his main priority, The Mighty Swine. Mike enlisted veteran axeman Stacey Donahue and Jeff Tong along with drummer Rory Faciane to finish work on the newest release which was released May 20, 2014. Last Man Standing (aka: LMS) features 9 new Swine songs with a remake of the Judas Priest classic, Hell Bent for Leather.

They recently finished up shooting video for Last Man Standing & Two Graves with Nikk Hearn, who worked on the video LUST, as well as provided cinematography for RUSH's 2012 DVD, Time Machine.
