The Cadillac Three – described as "blending distorted lap-steel with Pantera riffs & outlaw song-writing" – have picked up the Award for 'Best New Band' at this year's Classic Rock Roll Of Honour Awards, held last night at The Avalon, Hollywood, USA, rather than its usual stamping ground of The Roundhouse, London, in celebration of its tenth anniversary.

The Cadillac ThreeJaren Johnston (guitar / vocals), Kelby Ray (lap steel / bass) & Neil Mason(drums) – picked up the Award in person then went on to play the after-show event, winning through in a strong category voted for by the Classic Rock readers themselves; other nominees included Royal Blood, Deaf Havana & Blues Pills, making this a huge triumph for the Nashville trio who have visited UK shores just three times thus far, including two sold-out London shows.

Says Neil Mason: "What an honour to be three long-haired dudes from Nashville, Tennessee, and to be recognised half way around the world for the noise we make. We love it over in the UK! Thank you!!!"
