With the new album, "World Metal. Kosmopolis Sud", SOLEFALD challenges the listener with their complex musical diversity, taking the listener on a surreal adventure to truly unique musical settings and sound constellations yet to be discovered. Merging raw Norwegian Metal, Dutch Techno with Norse and African folk and rhythms, Solefald has beyond doubt crafted an out of the ordinary sound; World music with black edges. World Metal. Kosmopolis Sud sees SOLEFALD return to 1999's postmodern album Neonism both lyrically and musically. At the centre of the new album concept lies the idea of the Kosmopolis, or the World City. In Antiquity, Athens and then Rome were seen as the capitals of the world; in modern times, cities such as Paris, London and Berlin have all competed to be the Kosmopolis.

SOLEFALD "World Metal. Kosmopolis Sud reviews:

"Solefald have roots in black metal, but their Kosmopolis is a suitably cosmopolitan explosionof colour. Would Music With Black Edges is both the opener and a statement of intent, taking in everything from Latin grooves and Euro-dance to a Rammstein-flavoured elektro-metal stomp over the course of eight minutes that are exhilarating as they are exhausting. There's a metal heart beating at SOLEFALD's core, but it's buried beneath a landslide of splendidly deranged and unpredictable chaos." KKKK- Paul Travers/KERRANG

"SOLEFALD have with World Metal. Kosmopolis Sud achieved a mesmerizing piece of art. You are reading right. I refuse to reduce their newest release to words, when SOLEFALD themselves already are doing it so perfectly. This is an album you need to obviously listen to and also appreciate the lyrical part of." ALBUM OF THE MONTH/POWEROFMETAL.DK
