KOSMOKRATOR is another pitch black hopeful from Belgium and active since 2013. The foundation of KOSMOKRATOR's sound is slow motion old school Death/Black Metal with heavy and slow guitars, so heavy that also Doom/Death of the late 80s/early 90s is a big influence in their sound. Check out their live show at the tentstage.

KALMAH stands for melodic Death/Heavy Metal made in Finland. Kalmah is a band that has its niche hammered out very well, and continues to offer both classic examples of its successful formula, as well as slowly fleshing out its sound to incorporate a few more interesting elements. A must for fans of Insomnium, Wolfheart and maybe Amorphis.

NAILED TO OBSCURITY is another German hopeful which shows that Germany's Death Metal scene has quite a lot to offer. Next to harsh midtempo Death Metal you certainly hear influences from early KATATONIA back to "Dance Of December Souls" (melancholy), OPETH (acoustic parts) and EDGE OF SANITY. You definitely need to check them out.
