"Welcome to Dystopia?! // Welcome to Utopia!?" ' that's the motto for the fourth edition of NOIZGATE Records' sampler series BRUTAL VISION. Not utopic at all though, is the brilliantly versatile track list of the new compilation the German indie label is now presenting: A total of 33 bands and artists from seven different countries, including the ten winners of this year's online voting held in May, could be united on the double record by NOIZGATE Records. BRUTAL VISION Volume 4 is to be released on November 26th, 2021.
When they decided to make a fourth edition of their in-house sampler BRUTAL VISION at the German indie label NOIZGATE Records, it was long since clear that the project wouldn't be exclusively about searching for new visions in terms of music. Just like with compilation series' three previous issues, BRUTAL VISION Volume 4 evolved in the light of the question: "What kind of vision do we have for our future?" This time, the answer is: "Welcome to Dystopia?! // Welcome to Utopia!?"
The motto says it all: The double sampler's two CDs reflect a gloomy, maybe even dystopian and a faithful, maybe even utopian perspective on the future. The label's spokesperson Annelen Brodner explains the concept as follows: "Right now, we see humanity standing at a crossroads, at a point, where we only just have the opportunity to make a choice, how we want to shape our future and thus the future of our planet. This can go well if we manage to change tack on time ' or not, if we decide to keep going like we have and live at the expense of our environment. This really uncompromising 'either!or'-situation was our inspiration for the concept of BRUTAL VISION Volume 4."
With a total of 33 bands and artists from seven different countries, the NOIZGATE team has once more come up with an exciting and diverse assembly. Aside from well-known NOIZGATE artists like MIR ZUR FEIER (whose front singer Mara Bach prominently adorns the sampler's cover artwork), DROWN MY DAY, BURDEN OF LIFE, GRAI or ALL WILL KNOW, the track list also contains the ten winners of the label's online contest held in May, as well as some thrilling new discoveries such as DISROOTED, CEREBRAL INVASION or DISTRACTION and to top it all off, a whole bunch of musical tidbits like BURY ME ALIVE and CRITICAL MESS. And with British singer NIKA TIMOS the label even allows itself the by now almost traditional outbreak from the metal genre.
To tickle your thrill of anticipation just a tiny bit more, NOIZGATE Record is also announcing the sampler's release date: BRUTAL VISION Volume 4 will be in stores on November 26th, 2021.
