March 1, 2017
Following on from their storming European Arena tour with Nickelback, Canadian Juggernaut rockersMonster Truckwill be returning for a UK & Ireland headline tour calling at Belfast, Dublin, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Nottingham and London.
Rave reviews followed their UK run of the tour dates with Nickelback,Classic Rockproclaimed how they"look good on the big stage",The Nottingham Postclaimed they made a"huge impact",Planet Moshscreamed that this was"rock n roll played how it should be...completely confident and at home in this big arena", whilstLouder than Warsaid"it probably won't be long before they're headlining arenas themselves.
To go along with the announcement of their tour they have released a brand new stomping psychedelic animated video for "For The People". Talking about the video frontman/bassist Jon Harvey says; '"We wanted the video for 'For The People' to capture a certain vibe. The song was intended to be a pseudo-protest and very roots rock and the 70's style animation seemed to speak that. Besides nothing is cooler than hand drawn animation."
Guitarist Jeremy Widerman adds; "We wanted to try something new with the video and have a somewhat playful take on what is a really heavy topic these days. A throwback video of sorts to a time when the unifying of people and ideas was a far more popular subject."
Their latest albumSittin' Heavywas released early 2016and has received rave reviews; being hailed as"fresh and exciting"byMetal Hammer, how they"set the bar to unprecedented heights"byRock Sound, proclaiming the new record is"relentless and unstoppable"according toGuitaristand a"hard rocking masterpiece"byBig Cheese. As well as guitar legendSlashbacking their corner,Dee Snidercan't get enough of them saying"Holy Fuck, this band rocks"whilstDave Navarrohas come out with'Killer band, great guitar playing."
