Chicago-based metal band EARTHEN GRAVE has been nominated in the "Best New Entertainer" category at the 30th-anniversary edition of the Chicago Music Awards (CMA) - the first time a metal band has been nominated in the category. The CMAs honor and feature the best of Chicago entertainers in pop, classical, R&B, rock, reggae, gospel, jazz, blues, disco/house, Latin, comedy, country, polka, hip hop and world.

As the CMAs winners are based on fans' votes, EARTHEN GRAVE is asking metal listeners worldwide to vote for the group in Category 3 "Best New Entertainer" at this location.

EARTHEN GRAVE's extended range electric flying V violin player, Rachel Barton Pine, is also nominated in Category 7, "Best Classical Entertainer."

Those in the Chicago area may enjoy the awards/concert event on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Excalibur, located at 632 North Dearborn Street in Chicago, Illinois. Tickets are $30 general admission and $75 VIP.
