DEMON EYE: To Release 'Tempora Infernalia' On May 8th
April 20, 2015
Raleigh, NC proto-metal quartetDemon Eye will release its new album, Tempora Infernalia on May 8 via Soulseller Records. The album was recorded at Seriously Adequate Studios in Carrboro, NC and is the follow-up to the band's celebrated debut, Leave the Light, a record that Premier Guitar praised for its"hard-panned Lizzy-laden guitarmonies" and "doomy muscle of harder bands like Pentagram and Lonesome Crow-era Scorpions.
Formed in 2012 and taking its name from a similarly-titled Deep Purple track, Demon Eye proudly wears its influences on its sleeve, making music that's worthy of being linked to the musician's heroes. Merging dark riffsand classic duel-lead guitars withBill Ward-ian jazz /swing drumming and powerful vocal lines that take you back to a time when frontmencould sing, the group has all the enviable traits of a buzz-worthy, breakout band. On Tempora Infernalia, Demon Eye blendsheavy grooves, thunder rhythms and fist banging shred to create an epic album that bleeds with energy, urgency and immediacy.
"Tempora Infernalia" is the sound for the end of days. For this record we looked beyond the old world horrors of our debut and set our sights on the darkness of the here and now," comments vocalist / guitarist Erik Sugg."We offer our raging riffs and soothing melodies as anthems for all during these infernal times."
