On February 26, 2019, Metalcore band, ATTILA, drop their third video from the album Villian, "Bad Habits". Everyone seems to to hate ATTILA, but this song comes at you full force right from the first note. The pain and anger come straight from Chris "Fronz" Fronzak's own demons, whether it is from loss, love, or insanity, the chorus brings truth as he sings "I think I'm insane, Everyday I fade away". The vocals give proof that Fronz can sing. His clean vocals remind me of Norma Jean's Meridional album, but he stays true to who he is in verse with screams of "This is the World" to the breakdown of "I am a Monster!" The guitar writing seems to harmonize with Fronz's voice perfectly while the double bass keeps the song free flowing within the entire 4 minute track. The song is brutally beautiful Fuck-You to all of the haters of the band. This is a turn from hits like "Moshpit", "About That Life", or "Blackout" with the rapper seemingly disappeared for a short time.

Whether you hate them or love them, ATTILA continue to prove the haters wrong. The song is perfect in every way, from vocals to the drums, from chorus to breakdown, the song doesn't let you down. It is filled with heavy riffs, some very fucking great clean vocals, and an insane video. The video itself reminds me of Mudvayne's "Dull Boy" but the guys in separate padded cells change my thought. From thrashing around in a straight jacket to pissing in the corner while flipping the camera off, the music itself only pushes the imagery of the director further ahead, as screen changes flow well with the song. It is a continuous story throughout and it never seems to give you a break, and keeps you hypnotized until the end. Many people won't agree with me, some just might, but it is time to stop sleeping on ATTILA, and acknowledge where the band's passion rises, and they produce magical songs such as "Bad Habits".
