FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE New York, NY (October 21, 2014) - American Sharks first pressing of their debut album sold out a few weeks ago. Yesterday, the band announced on their Facebook page that they are releasing a special edition "color-your-own" vinyl re-press limited to 500 copies. They stripped the original gatefold jacket of all color, leaving just the black and white outline, and packaged the record with custom markers so you can "color-your-own."
The vinyl itself is white with black splatter to match the jacket. The custom markers are named after the bands favorite weed flavors (strawberry cough, blue dream, grape ape, green crack, pineapple kush, sweet island skunk, & hashish). To make things even more fun they are holding a coloring contest and giving away $666 to the winner. To enter the contest you have to buy the special edition re-press, use the markers they provided to color it in, and submit photos on instagram by tagging @americansharks and hash tagging #americansharks.
The band is currently on a two month tour with GWAR in the US and has reserved 300 copies to sell on the road.
