British metal trio Absolva have added European dates to their "Anthems To The Dead" Tour 2014 to promote their 2nd studio album set for release on 5th May. The band will be joined by special guests and labelmates BABYLON FIRE who play the full UK leg of the tour as well as the majority of the European shows now announced.

The "Anthems To The Dead" album features guest performances on guitar from Doug Scarratt of Saxon and Luke Appleton of Iced Earth. The album is available now for review and airplay, further to the earlier release on Youtube of individual tracks/videos for "Never Back Down" (including both Doug and Luke), plus "Victimiser".

Band members : Chris Appleton - lead vocals, lead guitar, Martin McNee - drums, Dan Bate - backing vocals, bass. "Anthems To The Dead" was recorded with producer Matt Elliss at Axis Studios in Doncaster (as with the 1st studio album) during November 2013. Artwork by Mike Collins of Lungfull Design. Photography by Steve Brinkman.

"Anthems To The Dead" is Absolva's 3rd album release, following the debut studio album "Flames Of Justice" (November 2012) and the live CD and DVD "Beyond Live" (September 2013). Their history has been nothing short of prolific, having formed in May 2012, in the wake of Fury UK bassist Luke Appleton joining US giants Iced Earth. A debut show at SOS Festival, plus 3 shows as special guests with Iced Earth were followed by memorable performances at Bloodstock Open Air and Hammerfest in the UK, as well as Wizzfest, Skull Fest, Metal Inferno and Summerrock festivals in Europe. Absolva has subsequently toured the UK and Europe extensively, mainly as a headline act but also as special guests with Michael Schenker's Temple Of Rock in France, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland.
