ARIA: Russian Heavy Metal pioneers return to Israel for a single show in Tel Aviv
May 9, 2015
Recently the Israeli Rock Star Music confirmed the return of Russia's biggest Heavy Metal band, ARIA, to Israel for a single show. ARIA will be performing in Israel, for the first time since Arthur Mikheev's departure from the band and the recruiting of Mikhail Zhitnyakov, this coming June 19[sup]th[/sup], at the Reading Club, Tel Aviv.
ARIA was founded back in 1985 in Moscow, the first Metal band in Russia to find its way to the top ranks of the country's mainstream music, considered to be one of the biggest Rock bands in the history of Russia / USSR. In time, due to its style of music, it received the moniker of the Russian IRON MAIDEN. The larger sum of the band's songs was written by poets such as Alexander Yalin and Margarita Pushkina.
Since their debut album, everyone in their local scene knew that there was something special about them, and the media sang praises of their accomplishments as there wasn't any Heavy Metal in Russia prior to their emergence. The band's third album, released in 1987, brought ARIA a mighty success and in the process of two years of constant shows, the band reached sold outs.
Since then, ARIA remained steady as a Rock, even with the absence of key members of the lineup that headed to search for different futures. Most part of their albums has been known worldwide and their shows are in most cases sold out.
Supporting ARIA will be the local Israeli Hard Rock / Heavy Metal veterans METAL SCENT.
Now it is your chance, whether a Russian speaker or not, to take pleasure of fine Heavy Metal, classic as it can be.
