In August 9th, Nashville Pussy brought their Up The Dosage World Tour to the historic Red Dog Tavern in Peterborough, Ontario. Opening up the show was Fifth On The Floor from Lexington, Kentucky. Combining blues, Southern rock, and outlaw country, this band oozed authenticity and quickly made fans out of those hearing them for the first time. Despite the street-festival going on right outside the venue's front door, people continued to crowd into the club, anxious to experience Nashville Pussy as they tore it up in support of their sixth album, which was released in January. Hitting the stage like a bolt of lightning, the Pussies delivered an adrenaline injected set including: "Keep On Fuckin", "Everybody's Fault But Mine", "Wrong Side Of The Gun", "Go To Hell", "The South's Too Fat To Rise Again", and "Go Motherfucker Go" to name but a few. Guitarist Ruyter Suys and bassist Bonnie Buitrago were a whirlwind of energy ' headbanging and rocking out while drummer Jeremy Thompson effortlessly held down the foundation behind them. Vocalist/guitarist Blaine Cartwright sounded as good as ever, his unmistakably husky voice belting out song after audience pleasing song. The chemistry between these four is undeniable, and it made for an incredible night of AC/DC meetsMotörhead infused rock 'n roll.
