Scorngrain - Cyberwarmachine album cover

Apart from the lousy front cover and the gay picture of the band I have to admit that very few things are worthy of attention in here. This is one of those albums that make you wonder damn, are some labels throwing everything in the street for the sake of just doing so?
Just for the record Scorngrain is a three piece band, created back in 2001, that has also released a three track Demo back in 2002.
Scorngrain is one of those acts that could have saved the day but failed miserably trying to do so. If there were no electronics in here, this album would have been simply a boring Power/Thrash, or total Thrash, piece of work like a gazillion others out there. What makes a small difference is the addition of modern electronics. So, songs like Flesh Means Pain or 4D Religion are upgraded from typical / average to interesting / good. But that's as far as the band will go. Once you listen beneath the blips you discover about a dozen of riffs and nothing more.
Maybe this will be a cool piece for some crappy DJ at some washed out electro club. But that won't make me rate them with more than...

4 / 10
