On April 19th I had the great pleasure of witnessing one of the UK's finest and one of the legends of the UK Rock scene, a band that has helped to inspire many a new legend of that era, one of which being Iron Maiden and many others to follow on, a band that has helped grow and nurture legends through their time and bringing some of the greatest tunes to ever be heard, the band I am of course referring to is UFO. Ladies and gentlemen, call a doctor because it's lights out in Manchester.

So we start off with a band that really took me by surprise and really got me moving to what they were bringing to the playing field, I mean these guys really know how to open a show the best way they know how. REDS'COOL are a very interesting if not groovy band that bring a combination of hard rock and blues mixed together to create an even mixture of riffs and rhythm that get you moving to the sound as well as bringing some very cool and very vibrant bass riffs and drum beats which mix together to create an awesome evening of good old fashioned rock. What makes it better is that these guys are young and show they have a very old soul when it comes to their tunes and their mixture of natural rhythm and blues which gets you soaring and roaring through the night, I have to say these were one of the highlights of the night as they were one of the best opening bands I have ever seen live and they really know how to make good use of their time to add. I would say for those who are looking for a little something more to your record collection then give these guys a try, I guarantee they will fill that void that you feel needs filling for an evening of heavy and smooth riffs and beats.

We now come to the final band of the evening and what a band to finish the night with indeed, the legends that are UFO. We start off thee bands set with the track "We Belong to the Night" off the bands 1982 release "Mechanix", to be very honest I feel that this was one of the best ways to open a show with as when you see a band start a tour for a new record you always expect that band to open with something off of the new record, but for the band to open with this track is a truly brilliant way to start and it just makes it. The show itself was a brilliant presentation of how the band have aged but have always been able to keep their unique energy and stage performance alive. Phil Mogg's stage presence is still as always powerful and full of promise, the man over the years has been able to keep this electricity going which is something you don't see in a lot of acts in this age of musicians. In so many ways seeing Vinnie Moore's talent live for my second time really got me excited as the man has so many ways of making guitar look easy and it's hypnotic. Through the entire show we saw the band create an atmosphere that filled the room with this heavy classic and powerful and somewhat emotional vibe which for me as a young fan was just incredible to witness.

What made this show worth every moment was the fact that we saw two incredible bands that were able to bring their own soul onto the stage bring an audience a full show of great tunes and fantastic atmosphere.
