A rainy and cold winter day awaited us all, but the numerous fans were in front of Teatro Odisséia since the early hours of the afternoon to see the first show from Finish band KORPIKLAANI and Faroese quartet TÝR, and it was the first time both bands came to Rio de Janeiro lands. And of course it caused a great commotion here.

The venue was extremely full of fans, and the first band to enter the stage was TÝR.

They have done a great show, even with the band seeming a little tired (the played on São Paulo on Saturday). And they played many songs from all their albums, and only one song from "Valkyrja", the most recent CD, that was "Blood of Heroes". But the public seemed in ecstasy during all the show, singing, screaming and dancing to their music.

Heri Joensen is a good singer and guitarist, with good communication with the public, but when he sings and plays, he stay focused on that (and it demands lots of concentration to be done, believe you Ol' Daddy here), while Gunnar Thomsen (Bass, backing vocals) and Terji Skibenæs (guitars, backing vocals backing) are the true pictures of musicians happy with what they're doing, having a great attitude on stage, changing sides and interacting with all the public. And the drummer Amon Djurhuus is a monster on stage, conducting the tempos with precision and having a good energy and making the rhythmic basis solid as a rock.

And how it's good to hear songs as "Another Fallen Brother", "By the Sword in My Hand", "Lady of the Slain" and "Dreams" alive, showing to everyone on the venue that the quartet can be a strong foundation for Pagan Metal in a near future.

They let the stage under a heavy rain of applauses, and for sure they got more fans after a so good show.

And in some minutes after TÝR left the stage, the preparations for KOORPIKLANI show took place, but some problems with the sound delayed for some time the Finish band. But as soon the problem was solved, they came to the stage, and Hell itself marked its presence!

The sextet is highly energetic on the stage, a great powerhouse! And songs as "Tuonelan Tuvilla", "Ruumiinmultaa" and "Metsämies" shows that these guys were up to make everyone enjoy this night.

The vocalist Jonne Järvelä is totally insane on the stage, having a great attitude, going from side to side, talking and interacting with all the public, even in a small space as it was. All the public sang, clapped hands, jumped and dance at his caring commands. And he is helped to set the public on fire by the guitarist Cane, who moves the entire stage smiling. Jarkko Aaltonen (bass) and Matson (drums) are more focused on rhythmic basis, besides all could see Jarkko smiling all the time behind his great beard. And Tuomas Rounakari (violin) and Sami Perttula (accordion) plays very well as spread sympathy to all the public.
