We don't have to hide behind our finger. Writing a review is not an objective evaluation, but a subjective one; and someone can see that, when an editor writes something about a band that he likes. The only thing that I always love trying is being as objective as possible.

So, what should I write about MINISTRY; a band that I really loved in the old days? Not that their last albums are bad, but I prefer the old stuff. And what should I write about a band that exists since 1981 and influenced all bands in the industrial Metal scene? I mean, Mr. Jourgensen made this music genre, when all the others were playing with their toy cars! Here we are dealing with the last(?) album, studio or live, from MINISTRY, letting us take a taste of what went on during their last tour. Of course a double DVD too will be out in a few days after the audio CD.

As you probably know, in this tour they played songs only from their last three albums and just a few from their older material. Well, Al Jourgensen did mention it before the beginning  of the tour, but I believe that  in a farewell gig someone should play songs from the band's whole career. The sound of the digital promo that I have in my hands is more like a studio album rather than a live one. You will listen to the crowd between some of the tracks, but that doesn't give the feeling of a live recording. I'm not in position to know if this is going to be in the release too, but The Last Sucker has only one minute in duration with a fade out in the end. Well, that was strange…The musicians are in top form and the songs are like studio-played. As for the track list; well the newer fans will like it and the older ones will hate it, since there are no songs from albums like Titch, The Land Of Rape And Honey, The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste and Psalm 69.

There are not many things to write about a release like Adios...Puta Madres. The newer fans of MINISTRY will definitely grab this CD and the DVD. On the other hand, it doesn't have anything extra in order to make someone else buy it. As for the ones that like their older albums? They won't even spare a second to read this, or any other, review or listen to the album. Let's just hope that the DVD will have some extra goodies. This one will be unrated. It's up to you to decide if you'll buy it or not.
