Interview – Jo Amore (Nightmare) interview
Hi there Jo how are you? Thanks for taking the time for this interview for Metal Temple. First of all let me congratulate you on the latest album, it's a real kickass metal masterpiece and off course you coming again to Israel to tribute one of the real and pure Metal gods that I had to pleasure seeing live, I salute you.

Thank you very much

How do you feel regarding of the outcome of the last album?

Our latest album was with the earlier album named " The Burden of God" that was released on 2012, unlike " The Burden of God" we tried to have a "heavier" sound to the album, I can even say that we wanted it to be more powerful and even Thrashy, emphasizing the guitar riffing , again the main idea behind  "the aftermath" was to go and venture to a more heavier realms also we tried to have more catchy melody in the chorus  ,myself I feel that the album is great and i really like to sound of the album. I think in the end the album came out with a great mix between strong guitar riff and catchy chorus and that what we attended to do.

Can you summarize for us your feeling regarding your last tour, for the last album , the aftermath?

We toured all over Europe , around twenty one shows , it was organized by WACKEN , it called WACKEN OPEN AIR - ROAD SHOW , it a huge festival going around Europe with many bands and styles and we really enjoyed it and the crowed was great , we also did Hellfest and that was very good

The band that you lead for long time now, nightmare did some lineup changes and also changed to more modern metal, what is your take about that? How did it effected the band and the musical direction?

The lineup changed just before "The Burden of God" and we got into some more heavier guitar riff like I explained regarding the latest album "the aftermath"

Some more regarding nightmare, are you planning a new album, or coming to Israel as nightmare and not only for tribute?

We are always writing new stuff and composing it, probably we will try and get a new album out as soon as possible, we usually do an album every two years, one year with promote the album and do many live shows and then we go back to the studio for the new album, regarding coming to Israel with NIGHTMARE, we will be very happy to come here the fan always give us and me a great welcome

Any specific song that you like better in the album, a song that you feel you voice and performance are better.

From the "the aftermath" I have two songs that I really love to do live, the first song is "I'm immortal" and the second on is " Forbidden Tribe", I love the way the lyrics are with the melody and the riffing, I feel that every time I do this song live I give 120 percent to singing them, that cause I always give 110 percent to any song I do live or in the studio.

How big is the influence you got from DIO?

It's a very old story , the first heavy metal album I listened in my life was RAINBOW "on stage", it was also the first time I heard DIO and it was the first heavy metal vocals I have heard so you can say that DIO is responsible for me starting with heavy metal and singing all together, however I do like and being influenced by many other vocalist around, in the beginning of my career I was influenced by off course RJD (Ronnie James Dio) and also, David Coverdale , in the last few years I like , JORN LANDE, RUSSELL / ALLEN and also STEVE LEE, I really love the powerful voice that they can deliver.

You already been in Israel a few time, care to share your thoughts about the Israeli crowd and fans?

I have been in Israel as a singer and also as part of my band, I really love the people and I know that you think I must say that, however it's not true I don't have to say I want to say, people in Israel are amazing and the fan and the crowed gives all they have in the show, I always loved to perform in Israel cause of that, it's 100 percent not less.

It's not the first time you do a tribute to Dio , should we expect something different?

In every DIO tribute there are many songs that you must do, people expect them , however we are trying also to have some other songs that DIO did not only the obvious ones, has always I will give my best on the stage and I'm very happy to share the stage with members of DESERT and SWITCHBLADE and I'm sure that they will bring there A game to the stage to give an unforgettable tribute to the crowd in Israel.

It seems that there is a new breeze for metal music for a few years now, do you feel it?

Many people say that lately  however I don't feel that , I think that the sympathy to metal hadn't changed in a  long time , however i will be happy to see the metal become stronger .

Do you use the social network to keep in touch with your fans? Do you feel that it is important for artists, no matter the caliber, to keep a certain line of relations with their fans?

Yes I do, I love keeping in touch with the fans, I also try to talk to fans after shows in order to get a real feedback regarding me and my band performance. I would like to add in a personal note that I really love the Israeli fans and the energy they bring to live shows I think that they are one of the best crowds I've ever performed before.
