Inspired by melodic death metal of 90s the American trio of MAJESTIES presents to the world their debut entitled "Vast Reaches Unclaimed", the first and newest work of the band presents not only a sound that will please those fans more late as well as also has modern elements and can also please those who like one or another touch of nowadays. The release is performed by 20 Buck Spin and has a great quality in reference to mixing and mastering, also the cover album is pretty interesting.
The first song of the new album is "In Yearning, Alive" and after a really short intro the band already shows for what they are up for, through a very strong rhythm, a footprint often reminiscent of the acclaimed epic metal, the communication between the guitars is terrifying, making the whole set fit into tanner's beautiful rash vocals. "The Unseen World" follows in the same stride, the differential of the band becomes evident precisely at the junction between the melody and the notable weight of death metal, not letting escape the brutality for no time. "Our Gracious Captors" shows the galloping drum at all its power, the vocals have some extra Punch, and although the song works in a few different rhythms, these are enough to get a good immersion even if slower and symphonic for a few moments the end bring us and make room for "Verdant Paths To Radiance", although short, proves very direct and complete, with exciting moments and a solo guitar to take the breath away.
"Across The Neverwhen" is one of the darlings of "Vast Reaches Unclaimed" for me, manages to merge many new and old elements, classic and modern, is an incredible miscellany where the band can take even higher flights. "Seekers Of The Ineffable" flirts almost all time with the speed pace and on "City Of Nine Gates" things work more heavy, the distortions in Tanner's vocals set the tone here, along with the constant and well-placed time changes. This great album reaches the ends at "Journey's End" an appropriate title for the final arrival, do not be fooled by a calm sound of water coming and going in your intro, this song is pure savagery the closure by acoustic guitar is also great, ending this excellent work majestically.
