The Greek Grind/Death metallers INTO THE GORE have been lost for 5 whole years from the Greek Metal scene and I really thought they had split up. The good thing is that the sick and twisted quintet is back with a brand new album that will probably offer you a strong kick in the face with its incredible brutality and infernal compositions. Beware all you easy listeners!

The band was formed in 1998 in Thessaloniki, a city located in northern Greece, which has produced lots of great Metal bands (BULL DOZA and HOMO IRATUS are two fine examples!). The band left Metal Age Productions and decided to make one more step in their career, and thus we have this great result of hard work and infected brain cells!

INTO THE GORE's Bureau Of Disgust is an album that will make your ears bleed with its NAPALM DEATH meets PIG DESTROYER Grind assault and the several EXTREME NOISE TERROR breakouts that you will come across. This is the best INTO THE GORE release up to date, and unfortunately it marks a tragic event, A.M.X.'s death due to a fatal motorcycle accident (6/7/2005). As the band says, this is their swan song and I believe that A.M.X. will be smiling filled with pleasure with the great album he left behind.

Since HOMO IRATUS have turned into more Post/Experimental paths, I can easily say that INTO THE GORE are the best thing in the Greek Death/Grind scene. The sound is raw and heavy, thanks to Giorgos Briggos (HOMO IRATUS, STRAIGHTHATE, KVAZAR, ERECTUS), and the 17 compositions (total duration: 32:34) Bureau Of Disgust contains will make your ears bleed for a long time!

One more thing that impressed me was the incredibly clever cover the band used on this album! My personal opinion is that you have to check these guys out and pay tribute to a fallen warrior who was stolen from this scene in such a tragic way. My condolences to the band and his family and I hope that heaven is having a cool Grind party right now with A.M.X. kicking the living shit out of every single angel!
