To be born in any country means that one has a massive musical background linked to the musical forms of it. An example to explain what these words mean: if you're born in the USA, of course you'll be into Country Music, Southern Rock, Jazz, Blues, R&B, Gospel and many others. And it's hard to keep them out of you when you're creating music. That's the reason for North American acts have a deep melodic sense and a care for technique and arrangements that is extremely particular of their inner musical DNA. And one can check it on SPIRITWORLD new album, "Deathwestern".

Their musical work is a meeting between Thrash Metal, Hardcore, some influences of Death Metal, many Groove Metal touches, and a subjective touch of North American genres as Southern Rock and Country Music that can be perceived only by trained ears. For the usual fans of music, their music is aggressive, nasty and full of hooks, sometimes sounding as a modern Crossover act (as can be heard on parts of "Deathwestern"), on others they show a more 'updated' Thrash/Death Metal mix. After all, it's full of personality and energy, and for those into aggressive genres of Metal, it'll not be heard to deal with their music. Sam Pura (producer, mixing, sound engineering), Evan Yoshino (sound engineering, mixing), Theresa Brown (sound engineering, mixing), and Alberto De Icaza (mastering) is the team who was gathered to work and create the sonority of "Deathwestern", and they did a fine job: it's aggressive and impacting as a hit of a wrecking ball; in other hand, things were done in a form that the band's musical expressions are all clear, or better saying: no one can say that isn't simple to understand what the band plays.

Maybe the band's music can sound a bit weird on the first time you hear to it. But when you think, you'll be hooked by songs as "Deathwestern" (a brutal and powerful Thrash/Crossover song, full of amazing hooks of the guitars' melodies), "Relic of Damnation" (the bears that Groove/Thrash appeal that entangles the fans), "Purified in Violence" (where the Hardcore/Crossover side of their music becomes evident, and what strong work on bass guitar and programmed drums), "U L C E R" (another Hardcore/Crossover moment in the faster parts), "The Heretic Butcher" (this one shows how they know to work of tempos that aren't as fast as the usual, and very good screams of the vocals can be heard), "Moonlit Torture & Genital Mutilation" (with all this brutality, some melodic arrangements nearer Melodic Death Metal can be heard), and "Lujuria Satánica" for sure.
