REINCARNATED is a death/doom band hailing from Bangkok, Thailand. They play the slow, churning variety made popular by bands like HOODED MENACE. This is their first full-length album. They also released a demo in 2020.

The first track, "Ophiuchus Crypt," starts with a mid-tempo riff, then adds some tremolo picking. Once the drums come in, the separate parts come together nicely. This is a slow song with low, almost guttural vocals that sound a bit off in the mix, almost like they are rawer than the overall production. This is noticeable but doesn't ruin the album as a whole. The song does speed up at times but is fairly slow going overall. The guitar solo is nice, and the drumming remains excellent throughout.

"Quasar God Oration" starts with another memorable main riff. The vocal delivery is still slow, but the drums are well incorporated so that you don't lose interest. The first major breakdown is funky, which is unexpected from a death/doom act, but it works in this song. The guitar solo is also well played. Shortly thereafter, the song slows to a crawl with two and a half minutes left. After that, the speed picks back up, and the noteworthy elements from the beginning return for a mid-tempo finish.

"Proxima Hibernation" begins with wintry ambient music as the song begins with some mid-tempo riffing. The intro was slightly longer than I prefer, but the faster elements that follow more than make up for that. It's noticeable that the vocals sound too raw for the mix despite NB's excellent delivery. The song peaks about halfway in with a killer riff that is worth the wait. After that, it starts to get slow. The slowing continues until the song's end.

Track four, "Triumphant Dead Comet," is the fastest on the album. Personally, I prefer the faster death metal elements over the slower, more doom metal passages. The riffing is nice and fuzzy, and the speedy guitar solo is a welcome addition. By the time the second solo ends, things start to slow, but after such great faster-paced music, the slowdown works wonderfully.

The final track, "Tomb Of Boötes Void," begins with a spooky, high-pitched intro. NB's full vocal range is exceptionally well displayed and does an excellent job of unsettling the listener. The guitar with blast beats is well within familiar territory but is nonetheless welcome. The slow guitar solo fits well for the song and introduces the deceleration nicely. The song continues to slow until only silence remains.

Overall, "Of Boötes Void Death Spell" is a fine album. While everything works well within the album's confines, there really isn't much there to elevate this release above the pack. It is, however, a promising album, and I look forward to hearing the rest of their output in the future.
