There are albums that come to show a different musical side of some musicians that are famous. One can't understand sometimes such release due being chained to conceptions, and the best way to deal with it is to be free and think the release in this form: 'the musicians aren't bounded by my inner conceptions, but their own ideas'. This is the best way to hear and enjoy what MOTOR SISTER offers on "Get Off".

Everyone already know that on the band are experienced musicians that plays and played with names as MOTHER SUPERIOR, FATES WARNING, ANTHRAX, ARMORED SAINT, WHITE ZOMBIE, THE CULT, EXODUS and others. What is found on "Get Off" is a form of Classic Rock mixed with greasy Hard Rock that sometimes reminds the filthy approach of AC/DC and MOTÖRHEAD, on others is extremely melodic in a similar way to soundtracks of 70's films (one good example is shown on "Sooner or Later"), but there are moments when some Heavy Metal influences appears clearly. And by the way: there's a fresh and updated feeling that brings such form to the present days, so it sounds alive and aggressive, but filled with many Hard Rock hooks.

The band put the responsibility of producing "Get Off" on the hands of Jay Ruston (who did works previously with ANTHRAX and STEEL PANTHER), and he created a massive and powerful sonority that enables the fans to understand clearly what's being musically expressed. But prepare your ears, because it's really heavy and shows very good set of instrumental tunes. But what one can expect of a band with Pearl Aday (Scott's wife and daughter-in-law of Meat Loaf), Scott Ian, Jim Wilson, Joey Vera and John Tempesta?

This is that kind of album that is easy to hear and love due its catchy melodies, but be prepared to be conquered by songs as "Can't Get High Enough" and "Coming for You" (both songs with a dirty and groovy Hard Rock essence, but pay attention to Heavy Metal duets on the guitars in some moments), "Sooner or Later" (the tender melodic embrace of this song, focused on charming guitars and excellent vocals makes it a hit), "Excuse Me, Your Life is Exposed" (a bonecrushing weight approach on the simple and solid work of bass guitar and drums can be heard on this one), "Lion's Den" (a very good and remarkable chorus can be heard on this one, along with very good contrasts of aggressive and introspective parts), "Pain" (a dense and introspective song plenty of Southern Rock influences, and what great work of the guitars and vocals), and "Time's Up" (this one a very accessible appeal, indeed). But have in mind one thing: this album is extremely easy to get in love with.

MOTOR SISTER shows a great work on "Get Off". Then let's hope that the quintet will stay active for a long time. The public deserves such a good work.
