I was reading a new article (a gossip new, to be clear) that a known Death Metal vocalist said something in the vein that he 'can't stand new Death Metal bands', or something like that. Of course everyone has the right to free speech, but one must take responsibility for what's being said. I saw Death Metal being born and its evolution, and prefer to think that things can't be the same, because the new generations bring their own ways to think and play, and there's nothing wrong with that. And the work of the Canadian quintet ARCHSPIRE is a depiction of what such words means, as can be heard on their latest release, "Bleed the Future".

Their musical work is a sickening and extreme form of Technical/Brutal Death Metal, modern and brutal as usual for Canadian school of the genre, full of nasty and dissonant contrasts. It's obvious that it's not so easy to be assimilated by fans that aren't used to such level of musical brutality and instrumental technique, but as one becomes used to it, the more addicted one will become, because a massive and unstoppable energy comes from it. And be prepared for a blunt and forced trauma for the ears! The album was recorded at Flatline Audio (Denver, CO, USA), having Dave Oreto as producer, and the one who took care of the mixing, mastering and sound engineering. All the efforts were done in a way that allowed Dave to create a modern and aggressive sonority, but in a way that is defined to the point that every little arrangement can be understood without problems.

Be prepared to have your bones smashed by the brutality of songs as "Drone Corpse Aviator" and "Golden Mouth of Ruin" (the speed and technical approach of bass guitar and drums playing on both songs is amazing, allowing the sound massacre to be massive), the modern impact of "Bleed the Future" and "Drain of Incarnation" (the guitars are great, creating great riffs and some melodic arrangements) and "A.U.M. (Apeiron Universal Migration)" (excellent grunts and piggy screams). But the entire album is excellent.

Yes, the quintet created an amazing release with "Bleed the Future", so be prepared to have your ears destroyed by ARCHSPIRE.
