Wedge - Like No Tomorrow album cover

WEDGE are a three piece high energy fuzz 'n' roll band from Germany, they formed back in 2014 and are no strangers to the studio as their new album is their third full length studio release in since forming following their debut self titled record "Wedge" in 2015 and their second album "Killing Tongue" in 2018. "Like No Tomorrow" was released via Heavy Psych Sounds Records in January 2021.

This album is packed with eight high energy fuzz 'n'roll tracks created by blending a mix of classic rock, 60's garage & psychedelic sounds created by the guitar skills & classic rock style vocals of Kiryk Drewinski, the melodic drumming of Holger "The Holg" Grosser" which are held together well by not only the competent bass playing of Dave Götz but also his skills on the organ too add a unique twist to the bands sound. Prior to the release of this album the band released three singles form the album, first was the albums opening track "Computer" back in October 2020, which was followed a month later by "Across The Water" in November which was also followed a month later by the third and final single "Playing A Role" in December  as the album itself in full was released in January 2021.

The albums first single and the opening track "Computer" caught me off guard initially as I wasn't sure what to expect from the band but it definitely does set a precedent for the album as a whole with it's very unique sound from the instrumentation to the vocals, there's not much else around that I can accurately compare this track to.

The albums second single "Across The Water" has a much more classic rock style to it then the previous single did with much more melodic sounding drums and classic rock style guitar riffing and nice melodic soloing to give listeners the vibe of the rock sound of era's gone by.

The third and final single that was released prior to this album's release was actually the albums second track chronologically speaking is called "Playing A Role" this single was the last track listeners were gifted with before the albums release and I believe it was the right track to release to get fans excited for the album as its got that rock 'n' roll feel to it and definitely encapsulates the album really well.

Having listened to the album in it's entirety I can say that if you're a fan of the classic rock sound, the 60's garage sound or any kind of psychedelic sound this is definitely an album worth checking out and a band to keep an eye out for in the future
