BURNING WITCHES are an all-woman 5-piece band from Brugg, Switzerland. They bring us the new album "Wings Of Steel". This a fast paced, fierce and full of fire album. The girls show just how much they bite in this 4-track album. Its raw and hardcore. Powerful music with powerful vocals to match! If you're a fan of strong female metal then this album is for you. The 5-woman from Switzerland are the definition of Power Metal. The band BURNING WITCHES were formed in 2015 in Brugg, Switzerland. The ladies have been busy, releasing £ previous albums and now we have their 4^th to date. So now as 2019 comes to a close, we have the new album "Wings Of Steel". As stated, this is a smaller album, with only 4 tracks, But what the album lacks in quantity, it sure makes up with quality. An album with bite and fire, not to be missed.

The first song which is the title track of the album, "Wings Of Steel", opens with a flurry of guitars, drums and an amazing scream from Laura. It gives way to a fast & furious song, setting off the pace for the rest of the album. It's a song that grabs you and reels you in. Right from the star this album will have you head banging. Song number 2, "Executed", like the last 3 songs on the album were recorded live at Waken Festival in Germany 2019. The live song brings images of the screaming crowd to mind and I imagine it was a great stage show.  Song 3 is also live at Wacken Festival 2019. "Open Your Mind", is a mind-blowing romantic power ballad. It thrashes out a simple message - "open your mind, open your heart". A must hear song of the album with passion and burn. The final song on the 4-track album is "Hexenhammer". Another song performed live at Wacken Festival. It closes the album the way it opens, loud lively and full of that burning passion & dedication the girls bring to the table.

Overall, although the album only has 4 song, it's an album not to be missed by the fans. It has everything we have come to expect from BURNING WITCHES. It has they're flare, fire and passion. It has their unique style and suave expressionism. With only one small complaint about the album being that it could have done with a few more song to fill it up. For the music and singing itself, there are no complaints. It's a fine album to headbang to and to sing along to. A fine piece of work that should not be missed this Christmas. If you're already a fan then you're in for a treat. If you don't know the band, I suggest you give them a spin.
