CROBOT are a Hard Rock/Funk Metal band from Pottsville, Pennsylvania, which founded in 2011. Brandon Yeagley and Chris Bishop created CROBOT, and were joined later by brothers Paul and Jake Figueroa. Changes to the band line-up since have taken place and the current line-up  now includes James Lascu and Dan Ryan. The band began under Wind Up Records,  however, they are a roster of Mascot Label Group since 2018. CROBOT are currently touring with STEEL PANTHER around the states and by themselves in Canada.  "Motherbrain" is the bands 4th album. The band's albums include the self-titled "Crobot" and "Something Supernatural". Both of these records were released in 2014, and were later followed by the album "Welcome To Fat City", which came to fans in 2016. The new album "Motherbrain" was released on August 23rd, 2019 and is the band's latest installment. In 2014, the band toured with CHEVELLE, CLUTCH and THE SWORD, just to name a few.

"Motherbrain" consists of 11 tracks, where each song has its own great flavour to it. Noteworthy songs on the album are "Alpha Dawg" which is 3 minutes 50 seconds of pure CROBOT at its finest, containing such lyrics as "It's the year of the dog. Year of the dog, of the dog. This one ain't gonna keep on barkin', no, some day he's gonna bite, yeah, this one ain't gonna keep on barkin', no." "Stoning The Devil" is one slower-paced track, which is easy on the ear and highly infectious with awesome instrumental parts, and is one of those songs you can listen to on repeat. Another noteworthy track is "Destroyer", which, at 3 minutes 55 seconds in length, is a track worth turning the volume up full on your stereo! The song opens with a smooth guitar riff, before being joined by drums and vocals to bring an upbeat even paced song.

There's not much negative to say about the album to be fair, it is a pleasure to listen to from start to finish. The songs are original and unique. Listeners of bands such as BLACK STONE CHERRY may enjoy CROBOT's new album, and their other works, too, indeed. Overall, it is a nice heavy album to tune into. The band has got far to go in the future if they keep up their game in this direction, and, in my opinion, the CROBOT album "Motherbrain" is one which is up there on the play regular list. I thoroughly enjoyed the album and will certainly be listening out for this band's future work. They certainly have a new fan in me!
