With the current line-up proving to be the most productive, efficient era in CRIMSON MOON's existence, the band now made final preparations to return to the studio for a 2018 full length release. Written under the influence of the Dead of Winter, the new album will be appropriately titled "Mors Omnia Vincit", featuring artwork by Daniele Valeriani and audial hymns to the Angel of Death.

"Vanitas" is a solid effort in kicking off the album. The eerie Organ beat in the intro is a nice touch. The drums kick in, and hard from the off. Reminds me off the intro to "Dead To Rights" by DEVILDRIVER. Then the Black Metal vibes go into overdrive. The melodic feel to the song is broken down once more by the eerie Organ. It allows the song to creep with a build up and burst of energy. This song is showing how the band as a whole lay their shit down. Not one complaint. It has a Phase 1 and 2 Black Metal feel to it, which to an old school fan, such as myself, is great. However, they don't make the mistake of trying to be out of tune like a few in the past. The vocals are crisp, not bellowing through, so we can appreciate the true beauty of the instrumentalists. The instrumental solo towards the end is immense, it a show of not only talent, by artistry. Phenomenal Start.

"Upon the Pale Horse" takes no prisoners from the off. It's a barrage of energy and sound. The vocals here are held longer, with the guitar notes rolling swiftly through the melody. The ominous backing vocals add a new and powerful depth to the song. The crisp vocals are more pungent here, but not in a bad way at all. Its powerful, but beautiful. The guitar tempo is up high, but still keeps in the background, ticking over. How they blend the sound, is fantastic. It's a true strength on show, as the sound runs smoothly to the some-what mid-way point.  There is an immense impulse in the guitar and bass, like it's waiting to burst through, it doesn't, but only due to the control of the band. No section of the band is ruling over another, True chemistry. Another fantastic mark on this album. The overall balance is incredible.

"Parcae - Trinity of Fates" is another song that is intense from the beginning. With a bit of a spoken word merge, comes a slower pace, but the guitars see to it that the pace increases quickly. The balance once more is brilliant, the build up in the melody progresses and results in a stunning sound. The guitar is used here more to create the pulsation of tempo, it builds with intensity, but never seems like its too much. There is a good feel to the progression of the album by thus point. Adding some atmosphere with percussion play introduced. This is atmospheric Black Metal-esq at its finest. I would listen to an album in full if it was all like this.

"Mors Vincit Omnia" carries on with the overall pace set to max level. It's like there on a roll here, with song after song continuing the superb tempo and balance. So far, there is not a single fault in this album. The songs are exactly what you want. This one is continuing with the beat that we are craving. This song even adds a smooth guitar solo that a melo-Death band would love to throw in. Technical brilliance, and put into the song effortlessly.

The album is a dark horse. It's one where many may have skipped over, due to not knowing the band, however, all that do listen to it, will be happy that they made that choice. Enjoy.Production  10
