1983. And then, there was Hard Rock/Glam Metal raiding the top of parades in the USA, as QUIET RIOT put the door down with a kick named "Metal Health". And then, MOTLËY CRÜE, DEF LEPPARD, POISON and many others came, giving support for the new musical revolution that still echoes today. And bands as the Italian trio SANDNESS are the result of such echoes, as their album "Untamed" is here to prove. Melodic and accessible, but bearing a heavy and rough touch, their music really can reach a broader public due the simple format of their harmonies. But the energy and their charming choruses are impossible to resist for those who hear music to have fun and enjoy a good time.

The sound quality of "Untamed" is the responsible for the aggressive feeling that permeates its songs. It keeps the instrumental tunes in a way that they sound hard and organic, but always having in mind that the band's musical way must be clean (Hard/Glam Metal must be understood to become a success and reach its public). It's a mix of both aspects, and it's really very good. "Untamed" sounds musically accessible for fans of music that essentially are Metal or Rock fans, but don't get the wrong idea, for songs as "Life's a Thrill" (excellent melodies and very good chorus), the nasty feeling of "Tyger Bite" (it's in a way similar to old AC/DC's songs, but in a more melodic way), the AOR accessible elements of "London" (very good guitars, indeed) and "Easy", the 70's Hard Rock energy shown on "Radio Show", and the modern grove presented on "The Deepest Side of Me" are here to conquer anyone who dares to hear this album.
