In the 90's, The Netherlands was a strong country for Metal, especially Death Metal. Many excellent bands came from there, and names as SINISTER, GOREFEST and GOD DETHRONED are widely known for the legions of maniacs for this genre throughout the world. So every new Death Metal band from those lands has to deal with this inheritance. To some it is a pride, to others an oppressive weight over their shoulders. In the case of BODYFARM, they don't seem to bow down to the responsibility of the Dutch tradition in Death Metal, as this EP called "Into Battle" shows.

They are a traditional Death Metal band, with clear influences from the bands from the genre in the beginning of the 90is, especially DEATH, in Chuck's earlier works. It's brutal, nasty and traumatic for those who aren't introduced to Death Metal, but it's honest, created with fine arrangements, and the EP doesn't sound to be forced, nothing copied, but created with heart and soul. It's nothing really new or different, but it's personal and really good. To be real, this is their 2010 Demo EP, remastered, but still ferocious! On the sound quality: excellent. They got a production that fused the harsh and crude instrumental tunes of Old School Death Metal bands with a fine and clear sonority, what makes us understand what they are playing without problems. In this way, all sounds great!

Be prepared, because this Death Metal Corps are here to break your bones and make your ears bleed with their music. Let me tell you: the harsh and filth "Bodyfarm" (a fine and massive attack of insane riffs), the oppressive slow tempos of "Final Redemption", "Heartraped" that is a traditional hooking Death Metal song that has some Hardcore influences (fine work from bass guitar and drums), and the intense and bitter rhythmic changes shown on "Slaves of War" (and this one shows good grunts) are truly what a Death Metal fan looks for. Forward "Into Battle", and let BODYFARM lead the charge!
