The bands from modern Metal and Rock genres prefer to have an abrasive recollection of brutal tunes. It's a personal form to describe with words what is being heard on an album. A fine example of what I'm trying to write is "Posthuman", the new album from the Hardcore quintet HARMS WAY.

In the music, you'll feel that they aren't playing as Old School Hardcore bands from Europe or USA. They have the same modern and abrasive essence of names as HATEBREED, gathering influences of Industrial Metal and other Metal genres. But it doesn't mean that they don't have personality, it's the opposite: these nasty five guys from Chicago (USA) use a personal insight on the arrangements, creating something that is abusively oppressive and heavy, and with a modern flow of energy that will bind you all!

Will Putney produced "Posthuman", creating a violent and really brutal sound quality that could fit on what the quintet musically wanted to do. And be prepared, because the songs are sounding really aggressive and with an energetic impact that will nail you all on the wall. But it doesn't mean that the sound quality is not clean. It is, and to be honest: cleaner as it is, the album sounds even more aggressive than it was supposed to be!

"Posthuman" sounds compact and solid as the impact of a wrecking ball, and all the songs are really very good. But the short "Last Man" (what energy, shaped by violent guitars riffs), the bitter weight shown on the tempos of "Sink", the Industrial influences that fills the introspective nightmare of "Temptation", the invitation for moshpit called "Become a Machine" (what an amazing songs, filled with excellent vocals and charming rhythms), the modern Groove that is presented on "Unreality", and the freaking aggressiveness shown on "Dead Space" can be a good reference for a first time listening on this album.

Be prepared to have your spine smashed to dust by HARMS WAY!
