Destroyer Of Mankind

Active since the very end of the 1980's (1989 to be precise) the Michigan City, Indiana (US) based Thrash/Death Metal force INVASION have remained active ever since and as a band have only released four full-length studio albums; and that's all of the material they actually have. I kind of appreciate that they're only full-lengths, which proves that the band might have gone with the method of trying to get more songs ready and then release them all at once and not just putting out every single demo track that they made. "Conquered" was their debut back in 1999, and it took them ten years to release that album, and after a short pause, they were back with their second record "Berserk Artillery Barrage", in 2002, following which they went with the flow of time and waited for eight years to release their penultimate studio record entitled "Orchestrated Kill Maneuver" in 2010.
Now their brand new record has finally seen release through Abyss Records on February 17th, 2017 (although they are currently signed to Rotting Corpse Records). In general, the band has been supported by a vast amount of fans and has received mostly positive reviews, so I won't be the one to break the habit here. All I'm going to say is that if you're a fan of Thrash Metal that has a cool Death Metal vibe to it, get yourself their brand new record called "Destroyer of Mankind". It has nine brutal, sick, energetic and powerful songs about destruction, war, and... more war. Songs like "I am the Enemy", "Dying on the Beaches of Normandy", "A Satisfying Death", or "Summon the Wolfpack" should be right up your alley if you're a fan of the two genres - or that well-known mix of the two -and whilst the titles are already very suggestive of what to expect lyrically from the band, you'll have to discover the musical part for yourself, and I must say, you certainly won't regret it. Enjoy.
