What is the main difference from what is called Hard Rock and Glam Metal?

To be honest, the greater part of the difference is in the visual aspect, because Glam Metal bands, in the majority, prefer an outrageous visual, with all those make-up and hair we know. Hard Rock is a classic Metal style, but with a heavier insight. I believe that examples could explain better: DEEP PURPLE is a classic Hard Rock band, as THIN LIZZY as well. MOTLEY CRUE and POISON could be said as very good names for what we call Glam Metal. I believe that now you can understand the difference, so when I speak about a Hard Rock band, I'm speaking about names as NOELY RAYN, a fine quintet coming from Athens, Greece, and that is releasing their first album, the excellent "Escape From Yesterday".

Is their music something new?

No, not at all. It's just the old and good classic and melodic Hard Rock, having inspirations on bands like THIN LIZZY, GARY MOORE, KANSAS, and many others, but without sounding moldy or outdated. It's filled with easy and excellent melodies, fine choruses, and tons of catchy energy. Their music has that essential and good dose of musical accessibility that can grant fans from many different musical styles. The sound quality is really good. It is truly clear to make their songs understood, but as well it has that essential dose of dirtiness that makes "Escape From Yesterday" sounds thunderous as a Rock'n'Roll album as well. Obviously it could be a bit better, but it's very good in the way it is.

Their finest moments: the catchy and funny "Walking on the Edge" (very good melodies and vocals), the beautiful melodic lines of "Borders of Love" (fine work from bass guitar and drums), the extremely accessible "I Wanna Run", the catchy musical richness from "Oceans of Sorrow" (very good guitars, both on clean parts as in the distorted ones) and on "Remember Our Midnight", the accessible power surge on "Best Things" and the tender atmosphere that fills "Irish Heroes".

These guys are not kidding, so listen to this album out loud!
