Delgado Graze - Delgado Graze album cover

To mix influences seems to be a way of some bands to search for new ways in Metal, or even in Rock'n'Roll. This is the need to create their own and particular form of music that can call attention to their work. And on many occasions, we have the opportunity to hear some really good works on this way, as the quartet DELGADO GRAZE does on the album "Delgado Graze".

Their music is a fine mix between traditional Heavy Metal, in its modern and aggressive form, with strong doses of earlier Hard Rock. To some, it can seem as nothing new, but just a hearing and you'll see that they are trying something different from many bands that do no efforts in this direction.

Their songs are sounding heavy and we feel that their melodies are embracing us, entering in our ears and going straight to our hearts. It's energetic, full of precious melodies, and done with a good technical level, besides they aren't focusing their efforts in a technical orientated music.

Their sound quality is clean and heavy, with a perfect balance of these two aspects. And to a band like DELGADO GRAZE, this is an important feature. They are aggressive and melodic, so their production must be fitted for these features. And it is; besides it could be better in some guitar and drums tunes.

Ten good songs await our ears. And they are good, indeed!
The modern and aggressive "Smockin' Daze" with its fine guitars, the hooking and melodic feeling that "Running Innocence" has (with a very good work from bass and drums, and a fine chorus as well), the abrasive guitars showed on "Redeem Me (Lost)" (along with fine vocals), the nasty and heavy Hard Rock "Thick of Anger" (with fine and heavy melodies and some aggressive backing vocals with tunes that get near extreme Metal styles), and the technical "Saints in Disguise" (with a strong scent of modern Metal on guitars) can be pointed as their best moments on this album.

They are good, indeed, and can be a great name in the future.<
