This album is nasty, furious and excellent.

What could we expect from a band like VENOMOUS CONCEPT, a supergroup formed by members (or former members) from bands as RAVENOUS, NAPALM DEATH, ANTHRAX, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, BRUTAL TRUTH, LOCK UP and many others?

To start it all, we must say that it's a noisy and aggressive Hardcore/Grindcore band, unleashing a violent and brutal form of music. Some can ask about the originality of their work. I can answer that the quintet is doing the things on their own way, even keeping the elements that characterize the style (short songs, simple musical arrangements, and hooking features on their musical work). But they are incredibly good in this way. So put the volume level at highest scale, and prepare to see the walls trembling and your neighbors complaining.

Russ Russell is the album's producer (as well as the responsible for "Kick Me Silly (VC III)" mixing and mastering as well), and he worked with bands in this same vein. Obviously, you'll feel some dirtiness and abrasive tunes, but the quality is not as bad as some could think. You'll understand what they are playing, but with a well planned rawness.

There are 21 songs on the album some lasting just few seconds, others but the nasty "Rise" with its distorted and aggressive guitars and vocals, the hooking and anthem "Human Waste" with its excellent mid speed tempos (and great work on bass guitar, thundering across the song), the savage and untamed work on drums we hear on "Farm Boy", the brutal grasp of the vocals we hear on "Forever War" (man, how he is singing in great shape), the abrasive feel on "Holiday in Switzerland" (a punch in the stomach, and a noisy and dirty song), the harsh work from guitars on "Fucked in the Czech Repub" (the riffs are really insane, and some rhythmic changes are presented), the brutal "Quazimodo". Oh, by the way, the excellent "Rocket Science" lasts just few minutes, and after, just some noises can be heard. I believe it's a joke from the band, in the same spirit of S.O.D.

This album is extremely brutal and good, so go on and buy a copy for yourself.<
