To be extremely honest with Metal Temple's readers, when we deal with Metal's history since the 80s, there are times when a style becomes so great that a trend starts. Yes, a trend, a wave, a fashion, where countless bands from the same appears in all parts of the world. And this fact has a positive aspects: some good bands appears in the middle of the flood. But as negative point, the level of quality of 70-80% of the bands is low. But on the 20-30% that are better, some are excellent, and a part is good, as the Greek quartet GODSLEEP, that comes with "Thousand Sons Of Sleep".

They are another band that follows that trend of bands that are trying to sound as those ones from the end of the 60s and beginning of the 90s. We can say that they play a tender form of Heavy Rock music, with focus in the on a melodic and introspective feeling that comes from Blues music, but they have some very aggressive moments, in the same vein of BLACK SABBATH in its earlier works. Of course there are better bands doing the style, but they are good and have potential.

We can say that the production is very good. Yes, I say that due the sound quality is something modern and clean. This as a good aspect, indeed, because they aren't trying to clone what was done in the past. And their music flows tender and clean from the speakers, but with a touch of weight.

Songs as "Thirteen" (with some abrasive guitars and a slow tempos, something earned from BLACK SABBATH, I suppose. And some Groove influences are present as well), and the Sabbathic one called "Wrong Turn".

It's clear that they have a great potential, but the band needs to put it all, the members need to transform their personalities into music.

By now, it's a good band.
